Conor McGregor is arguably one of the most exciting figures in Mixed Martial Arts today. He has been known to have high-profile bouts fighting against legends such as Jose Aldo and Floyd Mayweather.
Although he certainly has the skills to back his trash-talking, he has the physique that makes him quite a formidable opponent as well.
Today, I am going to give you some tips on how you can get fit and have a body like Conor McGregor’s.
1.Eat Healthy Foods
In an interview with Men’s Journal, McGregor said that he doesn’t eat any kind of crap foods. He only eats clean and high-quality meat, vegetables, carbohydrates and that is it.
Oftentimes, we gorge on highly processed foods that are detrimental to our health. Not only that but it also brings us closer to becoming overweight or obese, but also negatively impact our sex life due to premature ejaculation as well.
So, if you want to have a physique that can rival Conor’s, you have to start eating clean. As the old adage says, “you are what you eat”.
2.Do Plenty of Pushups
Pushups are actually quite a good way to strengthen both your arms and chest. To perform this exercise properly, your toes should be able to support your entire body weight. Your hands should be placed just beneath your shoulders while you keep your entire body straight.
Next, the balls of your feet should be the ones that are touching the ground so that it provides ample support to your entire frame.
Once that is done, you should start lowering your upper body until your chest is just an inch or two away from the ground and then push your upper body up again by extending your arms. Make sure that your core is engaged throughout the exercise so that your body is straightened the entire time. Do as many repetitions as you can.
3.Try Some Martial Arts
McGregor is a master of martial arts. In fact, he has mastered the art that he was able to beat Jose Aldo, a former champion who was undefeated for 10 years’ prior to their fight with the “Notorious” one.
There are many forms of martial arts and as much as possible, you want to try out as many of them as possible to find what you want and then go from there.
4.Do Some Yoga
Yoga actually provides the body with a lot of health benefits. It helps improve flexibility, circulation, and balance. Conor admits that he does Yoga every day.
As we grow older, our flexibility and mobility tend to decline as well- making us more prone to injuries.
However, scientists agree that when you have exposed your body to some level of mobility and stretching exercises, you invariably make it stronger that will translate later in life.
With all of your training, do not neglect proper stretching and mobility exercises.
6.Have a Different Plan
Most people follow a routine, which Conor believes that it will hamper one’s ability to achieve greatness. As much as possible, incorporate new styles and techniques to your game.
